FORMAT: Music Video.

RUNNING TIME: 7.42 minutes.

CHALLENGE:

The artist, Tommy Bastow, approached us after the

success of his band's previous video, Eye of the Storm. 

For his solo effort Tommy wanted something a little

slower paced and with a narrative too.

SOLUTION:

The story of a stagehand hovering in the wings 

watching the auditions of the new club singers was proposed, and Tommy

loved it. It not only makes for fun and awkward comedy but offered a narrative 

Tommy could relate to himself. 

 

Even though the period is not really defined, the creative approach was to

give the promo an older/vintage feel.  The cinema location dates back to 

1912 so the environment itself was already offering so much in production

design.  The costumes and outfits for Tommy and the band were kept old

fashioned in keeping with the period feel.
