The Lockhouse Restaurant

Client:
The Lockhouse

Style/Approach: Food is central to any restaurant. This coupled with the atmosphere and it's location these are the things The Lockhouse Bar and Restaurant wanted to show. They also wanted to push the locally sourced meat and produce and it's unique setting right on the lock gates at the entrance to the new marina complex in Portishead, near Bristol.

They didn't want it fast paced or loud. So a quieter softer approached was used, reflected in the choice of music and pace of the editing.

Technical considerations:
Close up photography on the food revealed the texture and colour of the dishes available. A special camera filter called a Black Pro Mist was placed in front of the close up lens to give the food a soft glow and make the food even more appetising. This was added to the shots of the customers in the restaurant seen eating and enjoying the atmosphere.
