EMMA VANE:
Actor
Biography
Emma is a classically trained actress and Voice coach. She trained at Central School of Speech and Drama and Drama Studio London (graduating in 2006).
Emma’s passion is for powerful new writing and collaborating with the process of its creation….in both theatre and film. She is particularly interested in provocative writing which leaves its mark on an audience. She is currently touring a new play by Bristol writer Dominic Rowe entitled, ‘A Great Undertaking in Little America’ set in the Green Zone in Iraq and first performed at Bristol’s Alma Tavern in April this year. Emma plays voracious journalist Jess. It travels to London (2008) and Cheltenham (2009).
Emma also has a great love for film and has just shot her second short film this year in Bristol as well as being an extra with the wonderful Hanover Pictures on their forthcoming project, ‘Winter’s End’. She is very keen to add more film to her repertoire and hopes very much to continue working in Bristol and London on new projects.
Her day job is working as a voiceover artist for Capital Radio London and GCAP Media. Emma is female station voice for The One Network (which owns 40 stations including GWR!) and station voice for Capital 95.8 London. She has also been involved with talking books projects and commercials and is longing to fulfil her greatest desire….to work for Radio 4!!
In her other day-job, Emma teaches Voice and Accents and Dialects to individual clients and within Drama Schools and theatres.
Emma is London, Bristol and Dorset based…..because she likes it that way…..and has a wonderfully reliable car! She is excited to have met such brilliant people this year….long may it continue!
